Israel

Karin and I are headed to Israel with our church, Calvary Chapel of Roanoke, from February 24th to March 7th. We are really excited about the trip but full of stress with all the things that we have to prepare for. Please keep us in prayer about it all.

My mom flew out from Arizona and will be staying with the kids while we are gone. Please pray that everybody is still alive when we get home and that the locusts (the kids) do not eat us out of house and home.

We have never been apart from the kids this long so there is a lot that we have to prepare for. Setting up a will, getting life insurance up to date, making sure my mom has all the info she will need in case something happens to Karin and me, preparing the house and the car, letting banks know what is going on, prepare my business for the time we are gone, pack, buy lots of stuff and generally anything that would involve being gone for that long. Please pray! This has also been a very stressful week because of all of this and it has not helped that Karin has had to work everyday this week. Thankfully she is just about finished packing. But I think she might have forgotten a few things. Yeah, right! I am not sure if she is even leaving anything behind. I might want to check and make sure the kids are not packed in her suitcase before we leave.

As far as the trip itself, it will be a much needed break. 12 days of just Karin and me, no kids. Will we be able to put up with each other? Actually I think it will be a really great marriage retreat for us. Looking forward to what the Lord will do.

I apologize to everybody that I never did get back to our updates on our Europe trip this past summer. Do not know if I will ever have the time to do so. But come visit us and we would love to tell you about it and show you pictures.

Again, I will try to keep everybody updated about our Israel trip but I am not making any promises. I am definitely going to take lots of notes on the teachings and places that we visit and if I have the time I will transcribe those into the blog. But I will make them more interesting then just notes.

Your Brother in Christ,

Jeff
